Am I the only teenage girl out there who listens to and loves blues music?
Every time I mention the Bluesbreakers or the Paul Butterfield Band and sometimes even Eric Clapton to any of my teenage friends, either they don’t know who I’m talking about or they think I’m crazy for loving the blues so much. Am I the only one under the age of twenty who listens to that stuff?

My favorite bands are Queen, GNR, The Jimi Hendrix Experience, Led Zeppelin and Soda Stereo.

well, i dunno if they count as a real blues band, but i LOVE the Blues Brothers.
i also love Arlo Guthrie, though some people say he is just a folk singer, while others say he’s blues.

You just suppose that you are the only one, because it is very rare to have Blues-lover friends.Yes, it is hard to talk about Blues just to yourself and I understand you. There came a time in my life when I just play my guitar and I hear the Blues that I play. I love the Blues, I don’t know why, but the very first time I heard a Blues song, I was fascinated by it. We have different tastes and some people just go on with the flow without even realizing it. It’s the subconscious minds’ work.
I suppose that you just asked what our favorite bands are, because you thought that only Blues lovers will spend time to look at this topic. By the way, my favorite artist is Robert Johnson, he is the Blues god for me and he is very good in slide Blues. My favorite band is Led Zeppelin, they have classical hits but some of their greatest hits are Blues-based songs. Jimmy Page’s guitar style was derived from Classical and Blues.
