Ok, I’ve recently discovered my love for Celtic Folk music, just the sounds of the fiddling and flutes and banjo all meshed into a simplistic yet beautiful sound makes me feel like life is good, but the problem is I can’t distinguish between good artists or bad ones so any good suggestion?
My favorite group is Boys of the Lough. I also recommend De Danaan, Patrick Street, and the Dubliners.

I am looking to purchase some new Christian music CDs. Any advice on who I might like? I love country music, and my favorite artists are Taylor Swift, Kellie Pickler, and Brad Paisley. I’ve been going to a new church and I really have been enjoying their contemporary Christian music. I’d like to get some CDs of my own.

It seems so strange to me that the artists get all the glory and attention for the music videos and get an award for it, and I know its just an award from mtv and doesn’t mean much but still all the people who make that video happen should get some major credit. All the singer has to do is show up get pampered all day and lip sync…wow that deserves an award. The people who do all the real work are the ones who should get the award.
The artists act as figureheads, accepting awards for the entire group. Besides, without awards to stoke their egos, many would go the Brittney Spears route: bald and addicted.

I was wondering if there is a way to send fan letters to music artists, or they don’t accept them at all?
I am not a fanatic fan or anything, I just genuinely admire their work and was hoping to share my thoughts.
Yes, your right through fan letters. But not every celeb sends them back or they send them back really late like 6 months because they finally get to yours after all that other fan mail.

Hi, I haven’t seen many live shows but was hoping to get into the music scene and was just wondering how do new artists tour off one album considering there is only maybe 10-12 songs on a album, alot of these are filler and i’m sure you need more than this to fill a 2 hour set. I thought maybe they cover other people songs to fill it up but I’m not sure, can you help?
Most bands / artists have more songs than they used on their first album, they use those. Also most bands / artists don’t headline immediately, they’ll be given a support slot (30 – 45 mins) by some bigger band.
It has always been this way.
