Am trying to learn Spanish and would like to buy some music to listen to. What are some good CDs where the words are clear? Want to be able to enjoy the music as well as learn the words…

Any cd by Shakira, Juanes, Mana, they are all clear. I actually Learned spanish by listening to Shakira’s CD Piez Descalzos then I got into other music like bachata merengue salsa ect. Now I am fluet and they only music I like is musica en espanol.

You should go to amazon.com and listen to the previews to see if you actually like the music first or go to the stores that have those scanner things so you can preview the music.

The laptop is a Compaq Presario running Windows ME. The CD-ROM drive was loading software just fine a couple of months ago, but now when you put a CD-ROM into the drive, it says, "Insert CD", even though there is already one in there, and you can’t access the files on the drive. Music CDs, however, play with no problems whatsoever. I already cleaned the lens of the drive. Is there a simple setting that needs to be changed? Is the drive itself malfunctioning?

If you need any additional information, let me know in your answer. I will post additional details periodically.
I can’t even see the directory of the CD-ROM. When one is installed in the drive, it says "Insert CD" and waits, as if there were nothing in the drive at all.

Usually data CD’s have an autorun feature and once inserted into the drive they should start the installation process of whatever program you are trying to install. Sometimes autorun does not work so normally you would try and start the process of using Explorer to find a file like setup.exe and then double click the filename.
