I wanna be a professional musician when i grow up. I want to go to music school. What are the "ivy league" schools of music? in other words, wat are those few schools that are the best for music or the arts?

however, i dont just want to learn how to perform music, i want to learn about the business of it too, like producing, copyrighting, selling cds, running a studio, etc… what are the best schools for that?

and are there music schools that teach both performing arts and the business of music? if so, wat are the best schools for that?

Julliard is one of the more famous schools and better schools to go to.

I have too many favorite songs…my favorite artist is marilyn manson.

I have many music videos (not bought off itunes) that are in the ipod format. I can put them on my ipod but not in the right place. Its puts them in the movie place. On itunes while my ipod is hooked to the computer, under where it shows what your ipod contains it doesnt have a place to put your music videos. It only has music, movies, and tv shows. How can i put my music videos in the right catagory on my ipod?

Its in your iPod , and iTunes right? If so, go to iTunes, find your Music Videos and right click on it. Go to every tab on the options, and find the tab that says Video Type. Once there, scroll down the list and select music videos. Then your done. Now just connect your iPod and it will fix your flaw.

Since Michael Jackson is a huge influence on today’s music, I was just wondering how different music, especially pop music, would be if Michael Jackson had never entered the music scene. What do you think? Would pop music be very different from what it is today?

music would suck!

Music can bring out such strong and mixed emotions from every listener. A listener also appreciates certain music over other. A listener will find some music to be horribly and some music to be great. What determines a listener to perceived a piece of music to be a great work of art? What determines a listener to perceive a piece of music to have no beauty?

It seems music has to be structured right in order for a listener to appreciate it. A music with wrong structure, whether is be bad rhythm or bad placement of noted, becomes a burden to listen to. What in our minds determines the structure that music has to have in order to be appreciated? Please explain why.

Mawia, i value your input but I wish I could make myself more clear. I just want to know how the brain functions when it perceives music. Why does some music sound good and some music sound bad?

Beethoven, at the end of his life – was deaf – the music was all in his head.

Music does not have to heard to be enjoyed, it can be imagined.
