How do you transfer music from an old iPod to a new one?

January 29th, 2010 admin 5 comments

I am getting a new iPod, because my old one’s headphone jack died. How do I transfer music from my old iPod to my new one- my computer’s C drive crashed a few months back and I lost all my music. Please help!
I know that there is some type of downloadable program to do it.

You can transfer music from one iPod to another in a direct way. iPod 2 iPod is what I use. I often use it to transfer music between my iPod and my sister’s. http://gutensoft.com/Utilities/iPod-2-iPod.htm

It will automatically display all files on both iPods, compare songs against two at once, remove hundreds of duplicates within one iPod in seconds, sort by Artist, Genre, Album, or even grouping of similar songs. All you need to do is simply to drag and drop what you want between iPods. Slick.

Give it a try.It even has detailed guide:

Hope these can help.

How do I transfer my itunes music from my old computer to my new laptop?

January 26th, 2010 admin 2 comments

Ok I have a new laptop Gateway with vista. My old computer is a windows xp. I need to put all of my itunes music from my old computer to my new one, but its not just purchased music, it also includes CD’s, limewire, and ares music. how do I accomplish this?

if you have an external hardrive (or flashdrive) just put the files onto there are copy them to the other computer… that is probally the best way. If you can pair the two computers than just send the files via bluetooth.

How do I move my music from my ipod to a new itunes library without having access to my old library?

January 22nd, 2010 admin 1 comment

My computer recently got reimaged for work-related purposes and my itunes library was erased. I figured I could use my ipod to store my music and then just plug it in and it would come back on my computer. I tried and it says my music can only be synced with one computer. Can I put my music back into a new itunes library without having access to my old library?

How do I add music to my new ipod from my old ipod?

January 16th, 2010 admin 6 comments

Ok, the thing is…
I got a new ipod and I have new music, but I want to put music from my old ipod onto my new one. Each ipod is on a seperate computer so the music doesn’t automatically transfer. I have tried plugging the old ipod into the other computer, but it won’t let me transfer the songs.

Any advice?

If you still have the computer that contains the music for the old iPod on it, transfer the music from that computer to the other, upload it to iTunes, then just update the new iPod as you normally would. There are several ways you can transfer the music:

The easiest way to do it would be to buy a USB transfer cable at (Wal-Mart, Target, RadioShack, Best Buy, other similar retailers). The cable allows you to transfer files from one computer to the other. This would work best if one or both computers is a laptop.

You can also transfer the music using a USB stick or flash drive. You just transfer the files to the USB’s memory from the first computer. Then, connect the USB drive to the second computer and transfer to the computer. USB sticks are fairly inexpensive. However, this way can take awhile, depending on how much music you have. They tend to have limited space (1-2GB).

The same method above can be used with an external hard-drive. They also have more space, so you could likely get all of your music on there to transfer and do it in one go. However, they are also significantly more expensive. While it can be useful to have one for file back-up, if you don’t foresee yourself using it for other purposes, it’s not worth the expense.

Finally, you can use CD-RWs to transfer the music. You would burn the music onto the disc then import it into iTunes on the second computer. However, you would likely need multiple discs and they can start to get fairly expensive.

Any of these methods can work to transfer the music to the new computer.

If you have the music on your old iPod, but not on the first computer, you will have to invest in a program to rip the music off of the iPod and onto the second computer; iTunes will only automatically transfer music purchased through the Music Store. A program that I’ve used and liked is Music Rescue. It costs about $20 and is very easy to use. You should only use this option if none of the other suggestions are viable for you.

Good luck

What you need is an iPhone Transfer. It is a program that can help you easily transfer the music on your iPhone from iPhone to iTunes.
Here is a quick guide of how to transfer the music from iPhone to iTunes.
1. Before you start to transfer, please make sure that you have installed the latest iTunes and your iPhone is connecting to your computer.
2. Install and launch iPhone Transfer, this program will read the files on your iPhone
3. Select the mustic you want to transfert to iTunes
3. Just click "iTunes" to trasfer the music to your new iTunes
That is it. It can’t be much easier to get the music to your new iTunes.

How do I copy music purchased from the iTunes Music Store to a new iPod?

December 2nd, 2009 admin 1 comment

I recently purchased a new 60gig video iPod. I am trying to copy all of my iTunes music library to the new device. However, the music that was purchased from the iTunes Music Store will not copy. I receive an error message saying that some of the music in my iTunes music library connot be copied because it is not authorized to play on the iPod that is connected. But now that I have the new iPod I need to get that music to the new device. What do I need to do in order to get the iTunes purchased music to be able to be copied and played on my new iPod?

Don’t panic. All you need to do is authorise the songs from your iTunes account.

How to transfer my iTunes music from old computer to new one?

November 8th, 2009 admin 7 comments

I just got a new computer. My old itunes had all my parents music on it, so I don’t want to just copy and paste it all. I want to transfer my music downloaded from iTunes, and any music that is on my iPod to my NEW computer. How do I do this without deleting all my music off my iPod? I would rather not have to download or buy any extra programs too, if that is possible. Thanks.

Download this thing called iPodRip. It worked for me.

go to this website and follow the directions: http://ipodrip.com/
