Any tips for running a sucessful night club?

I’m looking to start running a night club. Anyone with tips to make sure i have all the bases covered while planning this. Which advertising media? Legal issues to be aware of? etc.

First ur club must be THE talked club in town before its opening, repend the rumor that there are gonna be too many epople and u have to come early to get in place….invite a great DJ for the grand opening.. depending of the kind of music that is…U can split the club in 2…one half with sofas and chilling music and one half with a real dancefloor…or if u dont have enough space, or money, u can just do 1 dancefloo..people judge a club primarely by its DJ so if the music is great and alcohol is cheap, people will have a great time and come back. The price of alcohol dosnt have to be THAT cheap, just the lowest price of all the good clubs in the area. Build Fire resistant counters and let the barmaids lit it on fire one during a night (with alcohol) always amazez me when they do that! These are all the tips i can think of.

What are some good interview questions to ask people at a night club?

We’re shooting video segments at a night club and wanted to think of some cool, interesting questions to ask people when we interview them. We were thinking maybe dating, alcohol, dancing, music type questions.

Something for a girl: "What’s the best way for a guy to approach you at a club?" and those kinds of questions. Any ideas?

We want to make the clips very interesting and funny, so any ideas would help!

How can I make more tips working at a Night Club in Australia?

I earn about $20 in tips working on a Saturday night, but some of the guys and girls will get about $50. This is my first bar job and sometimes I notice when I’m concentrating on making drinks I don’t smile, but I find it hard to smile all the time.

What would make you tip a bartender in a night club?

chances are your customers want to be entertained and be around good company, so be just that; good company:

first and foremost as anyone can do, be very polite and courteous.

be outgoing and lively, funny, enjoyable company..
think however you are at your best mood, show them that.

show interest in your customers. ask how they are, but mind your job, you are there to take their order!

be subtlety flirty. don’t over do it, or else it’ll just be awkward.

good service – if its fast, correct, prompt, enjoyable – never hurts!

and if you’re cute, i guess that helps.. [not personally]

but honestly. just flatter your guests and they’ll love you.

What is the average number of customers an average size night club would generate on a daily basis?

I am doing an assignment for college where I have to figure out if it would be profitable to start a night club in the area. My question is what is the average number of customers an average size night club would generate on a daily basis? Thanks.

I am part-owner of a bar which has a seating capacity of 120. I would take a guess and say that the average number of customers on a daily basis would be between 50 & 60. We pretty much go by sales rather than number of people. You could have 100 people and only sell $500 worth of product.

How do I become a night club promoter?

I am seriously intersted in promoting a night club, how can I get the club space for free, how can I make alot of money, and what is good money that club promoters make?

Get a team together. Get a couple of good unknown DJs who are willing to play for free just for the exposure. Get a couple of good unknown bands who will play for free just for the exposure. Maybe get a sponsor (not totally necessary)-maybe a liquor company to sponsor a night with free samples, drinks and promotions. Then get a group of hot chicks as "friends" who wouldn’t mind hanging out in a club with good music and good drinks for free.

Once you have something to offer a club owner then ask to speak with the club owner. Tell them you can get -blank- number of people in the door on a given night to spend a bunch of many at their bar. They may also make money by charging at the door. You get people in the door, the DJ should get people in the door, cheap or free drinks will bring in the ladies and wherever there’s women, men will follow.

Find out what the club makes on a given night. Guarantee they will make their usual money plus a percentage of the door and all of the bar. Then you’ll take a percentage of anything over that. For example, once the club makes $1000 off the door then you’ll make 50% of the door after that. This is overly simplified. There are many ways to work out a deal, but hopefully you get the idea.

You will take all the risk. You have to make sure everyone you work with is happy. You are the last one to get paid.
