Why do people still read music album reviews?

I’ve been reading a few album reviews and noticed that they are so biased…they’re based on personal preference and sometimes simply, if they like the artist or not.

Haha. Whenever we read something like a review or a blog, we take in the fact that it’s never factual – a lot of the time, it’s just an elaborated opinion about something. It’s interesting to see how people perceive the album, why they think this song is good, etc. but it should never stop someone from buying it if they really like the artist.

I mean, for me, reading an album review is just as useful as trying to get daily news from Perez Hilton. They’re going to be biased, but yes, people still read them. Why? To get a new perspective. Do people listen to them when the review tells them not to buy it? Probably not.
