What to wear to a nightclub themed dance?

My middle school has final fling for the last dance of the year. The theme for us (eighth graders) is night club. I’m a guy, and I have no idea what I’m supposed to wear. It’s not for about a month, but no one seems to have any idea, and I was wondering what I’m supposed to wear. By the way, I think nightclub is a bad theme choice for an eighth grade school dance.

just wear what you’d wear to a regular school dance, jeez its not like its a real night club. :/

    idk wear like i nice shirt like button up kinda thing [not dress up] just idk like one from abercrombie or something like that and cute jeans its just an 8th grade dance
