i think a cd would be fine.

now, i know you said you don’t want to hire a band, but if you have a local philharmonic orchestra, sometimes they will hire out a string quartet by the hour. i got married in oklahoma city and paid only around $100 for an hour or so of lovely music. just a thought.

Yes, it’s perfectly fine.
You could even have surround sound speakers set up, so that the music is all around y’all

For my wedding I made a cd of songs that meant something to us and our relationship.. I then made copies of the cd to give out to all the guests as favors. Everyone seemed to enjoy it
